VHL-Travel Hockey: Mite-Bantam
DYH's co-ed hockey teams play games in the Valley Hockey League. Players are assigned to teams based on their birth year and generally fall into the following age ranges:
- Mites: 7-8
- Squirt: 9-10
- Peewee: 11-12
- Bantam: 13-14
- Midget: 15+

Practices and Games
Teams practice 2x a week and have one skills session. Games are on the weekends and are played at various rinks around the region.
Jerseys
Jersey's and socks for 1st year players are paid for by DYH. Any player needing a new set after the first season will need to purchase it through PIAS.
When
The VHL season starts in September until March with most teams making playoffs.

ALL TRYOUTS ARE AT BAJKO ARENA In hyde park.
Goalie Tryouts: Squirt, Peewee and Bantam: Monday April 1st at 7pm
Goalie tryouts will be conducted by Mass Crease.
** If your Goalie is looking to also skate out, they should also attend the skater tryout*
ALL Mite Travel Tryouts for co-ed and all girls teams, Birth years: 2018, 2017 or 2016. Monday April 1st and Tuesday April 2nd at 5pm.
Squirt Tryouts: Birth years: 2015 – 2014. Monday April 8th and Wednesday April 10th at 6pm
Peewee Tryouts: Birth years: 2013 - 2012. Monday April 8th and Wednesday April 10th at 7pm
Bantam tryouts: Birth years: 2011-2010. Monday April 8th and Wednesday April 10th at 8pm
